Senior QA Automation Engineer

What Will You Do?

• Serve as a quality pillar within the squad, leading testing activities and improving overall test strategy.
• Plan, develop, execute, and maintain API and UI automation tests as part of our SDLC.
• Increase test coverage and stabilize existing automation tests.
• Drive quality initiatives, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high product quality.
• Develop and enhance test automation within the squad to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test failures, automation tools, and test environments.
• Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives from a testing perspective.
• Promote and advocate for best practices in testing and automation across the squad.

What Will You Need?

• 4+ years of experience in planning, developing, executing, and maintaining automation tests (API & UI) using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools - Jest, Cypress (mandatory) and Mocha / Playwright.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Bitbucket.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and experience in writing STP, STD.
• Solid understanding of databases (Postgres, SQL, NoSQL such as Elasticsearch).
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
